WHAT IS CCR&R? WHAT IS THE REGIONAL PLAN FOR CCR&R?

Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) core services link families, child care providers, and community partners. The role of CCR&R agencies is to coordinate, collaborate, create and implement services that enhance the quality of child care and early childhood programs in the community.

In the Triad area, the Regional Child Care Resources & Referral (RCCR&R) is now the Lead Agency for Region 14.  Three counties comprise this region – Guilford, Randolph and Rockingham. If you reside in any of these counties you are invited to call one of the following CCR&R’s to obtain needed parent, provider or community child care services.

CCR&R’s are hubs for many diverse child care activities in North Carolina. CCR&R agencies provide permanent, local, adaptable structures through which public and private groups can work together to enhance the accessibility and affordability of child care.
 
In an effort to expand and improve statewide access to CCR&R information and resources through effective customer service best practices provided in a culturally appropriate manner, the Division of Child Development located in Raleigh has established a Regional CCR&R Service Delivery Work Plan for the State.

As a result of this plan, eighteen (18) Regions have been established and within these regions, 18 CCR&R Lead Agencies will collaborate with other established CCR&R’s in the state to serve all 100 counties in NC.

Who We Are?
The Regional Child Care Resources & Referral (RCCR&R) of Guilford Child Development is a community service dedicated to working with parents, child care providers, businesses and community organizations to help promote the availability of quality child care. A United Way service located in Greensboro, NC, we are a Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) serving as the Region 14 Lead Agency which includes Guilford, Randolph and Rockingham counties.
